My look for yesterday was using Aromaleigh's Hot In The City colors. I ordered the brightest ones from the collection. They're so gorgeous! Unfortunately the pictures aren't the best, I couldn't find my mom's camera, so I had to use my POS. You can click to enlarge!

Italian Ice (inner lid)
Return to Tiffany's (middle lid)
Girl's Night Out (outer lid)
Coney Island (under waterline)
Neon Lights (inner v)

Urban Decay Lingerie mascara primer
Max Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme mascara
I strongly advise you to order from the Hot In The City collection ;]

Some thoughts
Got my paycheck today! So, so tiny... >_< Already spent almost 1/2 of it filling my car up with gas... looks like 2 more weeks of no beautiful new things for me. How disappointing. Good thing I can live vicariously through all of you guys and your delicious blogs! Also, now that I only have 5 classes a day, I think life will be a lot better for me. I HATE school at this point, and knocking 3 hours off of the day will make me a lot happier.
I can't believe I have 82 followers! That is just so cool. I remember getting to 30 and how cool it was... I really appreciate my readers, and I hope you enjoy the things I post. I would like to have a 100 followers giveaway, because maybe by the time I reach that I will have enough money to be able to purchase some decent prizes. The only thing is, I don't want to have a bunch of people joining my blog just for the giveaway... I want them to join because they like my blog! Any suggestions about prizes you'd like?
I've been seeing some people blog about I Touch Roses recently. I REALLY hope I can scrounge up enough cash to try them soon, I want every single color they have- they're GORGEOUS. I also want to try High Voltage Cosmetics, Jesse's Girl, GOSH, Barry M, more NYX and L.A. Colors, shit from this eBay seller... Japanese beauty products...and of course order more from Aromaleigh, Sassy, Avon, Hi Fi, and Fyrinnae. These are just the companies I'm dying to order most from right now, there are so many more I want to try!
For bath products, I want to try Lush (never ever have), Gudonya, and Haus of Gloi.
I know I'm not the only broke chick right now- what products are you craving?
PS- what the deal with Sugarpill Cosmetics? First they were supposed to open over the weekend, then Monday... well now it's Thursday, and I want to see the pretties! I'm crossing my finger the shop opens this weekend... not like I can afford it anyway...
Have a lovely Thursday night, Friday, and get excited for the weekend!

Pale purple/pink EOTD
Hello everyone, I'm hoping your week started off better than mine. My boyfriend is on his way back to Texas, so I won't see him until the end of next month. I had my hopes up very high about the possible job I was going to be getting at Sally's- this is my dream part-time job. I was talking to the manager and she was about to give me an impromptu interview, because I seemed so fit for the job. Then she found out I am 17, and told me you have to be 18 to work there. When I'm 18 I'll only be here for a couple months before I leave for college. I had my hopes up and I was so insanely excited for this job, so needless to say I was extremely upset. That added to the fact that the roads are terribly bad here made for an unhappy afternoon- my car spun around multiple different times as I was trying to get home, and someone started drifting into my lane so I had to get into a turn lane quickly to avoid being hit. Ok, rant over, here was my look for the day.
What I used:
Suffocation, by Morgana Minerals (inner lid)
Spike the Punch, by Hi Fi Cosmetics (outer lid)
Candytuft, by Aromaleigh (highlight- this color sounds dirty, heehee)
Ephemeral Violet, by Aromaleigh (under waterline)
Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara
Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Definer in Purple Shock (eyeliner)
Revlon eyeliner in Very Violet (waterline)
Milani Powder Mosaic in Sweet Cheeks (blush)
Lancome Juicy Tubes Smoothies in Spring Fling (gloss)
I am deff. not in the mood for brights today, but since I already decided to be moody and wear black, I thought dark eye makeup would be slightly melodramatic.
The only other places I can think of that are hiring right now are TJ Maxx, where I know you only have to be 16, so I can try that. Aldi, the discount grocery store, is also hiring for cashiers with a salary of $10.50 an hour! I have to see about that, I don't know the age restrictions, or if it's even a part-time job. I'm dropping some of my unecessary classes so I get out of school right before 1. This way I can get a second job. Wish me luck :)
I have been so broke, as in, I've had less than $20 for the last week and a half. This was the only pretty I've gotten for myself in 2 weeks:
China Glaze Emerald Sparkle, on sale for $2 at Sally's. I miss buying pretties T_T Payday is Thursday, but as I've been getting almost no hours, it will probably be a completely tiny check. Sorry for so much complaining! I feel like if I was able to order makeup right now, I wouldn't be so whiny, but I can't.
I also told my mom I would link to her Etsy shop. She's had it up for like half a year, but doesn't know how to get people to see it, so she hasn't really sold anything. She makes beautiful cards, and spends so much time on them- her card making collection GREATLY surpasses my makeup collection. Here is her shop- the cards are sold in sets, and all come with envelopes and can be customized on request. She will even make a totally custom card if you want it, so don't hesitate to contact her ;] Give people something better than than lame ass cheesy Hallmark shit, come on now. I hope everyone makes it through their week ok.

Anniversary & EOTD
Thursday night was my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. We went out to this amazing Japanese restaurant, and I got a chance to wear a dress!
My look for the night was quick and simple, and I did it after seeing this post on the Painted Princess blog.
I used NARS Silent Night for the gold, and some Jane stuff as the black, with L.A. Colors shimmering eyeshadow in Honeysuckle as the highlight. I am in looove with Honeysuckle. When I apply it, it blends into my skin tone enough that you can see some shimmer, but no real color, so it's perfect highlight.
Today I wanted to use colors I had never tried before. Sadly, it's a nasty day out and the lighting is terrible, so the pictures aren't the best.
What I used:
NYX Ultra Pearl Mania pigment in Jade (inner lid)
Atomic, from the Aromaleigh Rocks! collection (center lid)
Nymphette, by Evil Shades (outer lid)
Samhain Spirits, by Fyrinnae (under waterline)
Broken Road, by Hi Fi (crease)
Honeysuckle by L.A. Colors (highlight)
Rimmel Lash Maxxx Mascara
Covergirl eyeliner in brown black (waterline)
Rimmel Mousse Blush in Frozen Cherry (this stuff is amazing, even someone who sucks at blush as much as I do can't mess it up)
Jelly Pong Pong lib sorbet in Blood Orange
Ugly wallpaper!
My lips look the same in all my pictures no matter what I do to them >:[ They look different IRL, I swear! I hope everyone is having a beautiful weekend.

Self Esteem (&some cute jewelry!)
I thought I'd post something I was thinking about last night, which is the topic of self esteem and assertiveness in young women. This jumps over the place a little. When I posted my blog with a picture of me with no makeup, and everyone responded saying basically how bad they looked without makeup, it made me sad. I feel like most young women don't think they're pretty. I also think when you DO think you're pretty, and if you acknowledge that, you're considered egotistical. Do I think I'm pretty? Yeah, I do, or I wouldn't be putting all these pictures on my blog. But if I ever say this to someone, they're like "Wow, you're full of yourself." Why can't you have a positive self image without people thinking you have a big ego? I feel like people look down on you if you think that you're pretty, which is so stupid. To be honest, people who have low self-esteem annoy me. If you hate yourself so much, do something positive to change it instead of complaining. I really hope everyone who has blogs that I follows thinks they're pretty, because they are. :)
Another thing that REALLY bothers me is how nice some of my female friends are. Not nice in a good way, nice in a way that they WILL NOT tell people to back off when they are completely crossing boundaries. When they get in bad or uncomfortable situations with guys, they don't say anything, because they would "feel bad". This makes me so frustrated. What if someone starts to rape you, would you feel too bad to tell him to stop? Two friends of mine especially seem to always be getting into these uncomfortable situations, but never say anything to the guy who's creepin on them. It's hard for me to understand how they feel about it, because you better believe I'd be telling these guys to fuck off. I don't care if they think I'm a bitch, my safety is way more important than their opinions. I think every woman should read The Gift Of Fear, by Gavin De Becker. It talks about stuff like this; how women feel like they will be perceived as a bitch if they try to make a guy back off, so they stay quiet. It's really informative about what to do in bad situations, and how to recognize danger signs.
I'm very assertive and I'm very confident, which I don't think a lot of girls my age are. And I think they should be. I believe every woman should feel confident and beautiful, and every woman should be able to use this confidence to stand up for herself and be able to control a negative situation. You shouldn't have to feel afraid of being branded an egotistical bitch. I would really love to hear your thoughts on this. :)
Also, I thought I'd share some cute jewelry places I've found through people's blogs. If I had money I would totally buy from them...T_T All images are from their websites. These people didn't send me free stuff or ask me to blog about them or whatever else I should say for a proper disclaimer. I just really like their jewelry. :]

Morgana Minerals LOTD
I got my order from Morgana Minerals a while ago, and decided to do a look with some of the colors today. I decided not to do a full review or swatches for this brand, because I think you can find these on a ton of other blogs, as Morgana is pretty popular. I will say that I think the colors are completely beautiful. As for the website, some pictures are really accurate, some are just so so. There is a $20 minimum order, which kind of made me go >:P as I'm so broke, and I did not receive any free samples. I only ordered shadows, so I can't comment on other products, but I WOULD reccomend this company. The colors are all just so beautiful.
My favorite is Zombie Ambrosia.
I think I will do a look with this soon so you can see what it looks like. This picture is from the website, and doesn't capture its beauty- it's the most badass blurple of all time.
What I used:
Coraline, inner lid
Druscilla's Sister, outer lid
Bubblegum Frosting, crease
Warped, under waterline
Palladio felt tip eyeliner in Eggplant
Covergirl Eyeliner in brown black (waterline)
Max Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme mascara
L.A. Girl lipstick in Sinful
Too Faced sparkler glamour gloss in Violet Vapor
Milani powder blush mosaic in Sweet Cheeks, although the flash kind of takes it all away
I hope you're having a great week!

blog sales, you suck
Why is everyone doing this to me? I love blog sales... I keep seeing so much of your shit that I want, but I absolutely cannot buy anything for at least two weeks. I have to use my recent tiny paycheck for gas and chinchilla food and whatnot. So frustrating... just send me your stuff for free, ok? :D
PS, me with no makeup. Show me your makeupless pictures! I want to see your beautiful naked face ;]
Beautiful Girls Minerals Review
I placed my order with Beautiful Girl Minerals on December 22nd. I got an email on the 31st saying it had been shipped out. I didn't get the package until over a week later. My invoice was not included, and there was no thank you note. I ordered 8 eyeshadow samples, and the eyshadow/liner sealant. I received 2 free samples with my order.
Here are some swatches of the browns. All my pictures seem to have weird background stuff or my feet in them, sorry! I was trying to get the best lighting possible with the crappy camera I was using.
From left to right: Femme (free sample), Alluring, Trusting, Fatale (free sample)
Direct sunlight with flash
Flash
Can you tell the difference between Alluring and Trusting? They don't look the same in the bags, but when swatched, I can't tell which is which, they look identical to me. I even thought I accidentally swatched the same color twice, so I did more swatches on my hand, but I did use two different colors.
I'm puzzled how they can look different in the bags but show up identical to my eyes. Here are swatches of the colors.
From left to right: Diva, Devious, Bewitched, Dazzle, Electrified, Panic
Direct sunlight with flash
Flash
The second picture is more accurate in both the brown and color swatches. You really can't see any shimmer at all.
I also bought their sealant to turn eyeshadow into eyeliner. It didn't come with any instructions on how to use it, so I tried a few things. The only thing that really worked was to squirt the sealant onto an eyeshadow brush, then dip it in the pigments. This got the sample bag all nasty and goopy. I don't know if this is how most sealants are or not, because I've never bought any before. Here's a picture of the bottle. It did come with a label, which peeled off after a few days.
I took some swatches using Diva. The left is the pigment on its own, the middle is with the sealant, and the right is using water.
Direct sunlight with flash
Flash
The sealant really doesn't seem like much more of a difference than water. I did try smearing them all, and the pigment with the sealant didn't smear, so it did succeed in that aspect. I don't think I'll use it much, but I guess the price of $3.25 is ok.
Overall, I'm really unimpressed with what I received. Sample prices are good at 50 cents, but I don't find these colors very unique or appealing, and I doubt I'll wear them much. Two of them look the same to me. I don't think I'll use the sealant. I wouldn't recommend Beautiful Girls Minerals.

My Love/Hate Relationship with Sally Hansen
I picked up some Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear colors from Walgreens, and decided to do my nails with them, since I didn't have to work at all this weekend. I used Deep Purple on my nails, with Rockstar Pink on the ring finger. I used In The Spotlight bar glitter on top of the purple, and I used some Maybelline Express Finish 50 second drying base/top coat (I got it for $1 at CVS, hehe :D)
Pre clean-up, don't judge me.
So, the colors are really pretty and all, right? But as I was working on this I remembered why I never buy Sally Hansen. It takes so damn long to dry. The drying time was ridiculous, I keep getting dents even 40 minutes after I painted my nails. This was with a quick dry top coat AND China Glaze quick dry spray! The glitter polish didn't have this problem, it dried very quickly, I really love it. But the purple kept getting all weird on me. Grrr Sally Hansen why can't you just be normal? >:[
I just took all the polish off, since I have work tonight. All my fingers I used the purple on have these weird salmon colored stains on them, I think the polish either stained my nails, or else tore some of the enamel off! Does anyone else besides me have these Sally Hansen problems?

EOTD Using All Aromaleigh shadows
I apologize for the pictures here, they aren't very vibrant, even though I upped the brightness and contrast in Photoshop to try and make them more color accurate. It's because my mom's out of town with her nice camera, so I'm using mine, which is a complete POS. The blue looks very inaccurate, so here's the closest to what it actually looks like:
This color is from the Rocks! collection, and is called bluespark. It's not the actual color, planetearth, but this photo looks the most similar to my eyes. Now for the look.
What I used:
Cottage Cheese jumbo eye pencil by NYX as base
iseered, by Aromaleigh [Rocks! collection] (inner lid)
lupine, by Aromaleigh [spring solstice collection](middle of lid)
planetearth, by Aromaleigh [Rocks! collection] (rest of lid, under waterline)
L'Oreal extra volume collagen mascara Rimmel eyeline in black
No full face cus the POS camera made me look REALLY odd. I'm sad these pictures aren't totally color accurate, as Ive been looking forward to this look all week. As soon as I got iseered and planetearth, I wanted to use them together. Also, if you haven't picked up any of the Hot In the City collection, I reccomend you do so, the colors are beautiful. Coney Island is now my favorite green of all time. I got a free sample of the vanilla bean lip balm with my last order, and I want to get a full size. :3 I HATE vanilla scents, and I love the smell of this so much... that's how good it is.
I also have been meaning to say, the L'Oreal collagen mascara is what I have used every time I have posted that I used Voluminous by L'Oreal... I've never even bough Voluminous, I don't know why I kept making that mistake of which one it was! I am also very impressed with the Rimmel liner. I got it for around $1.50 since Rimmel is(was?) half off at Walgreens. I totally cried yesterday when I saw my boyfriend for the first time in two weeks (:D), and it stayed on really well!
I work almost every day this upcoming week, so again, I will probably not be able to post much. I may have to do it so I only update on weekends. But I will always have enough time to keep updated on everyone else's beautiful blogs! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, especially if you live in the US and get to chill on Monday. ;]

Enlighten me please!
Can anyone who has been to cosmetology school tell me what it is like, costwise, and the types of things you learn to do?
Also, I want to try more nail polish brands. I know a lot, obviously more than your average chick, but if you have any weird ones I probably haven't heard of, please let me know :)
URBAN DECAY ALICE IN WONDERLAND BOOK OF SHADOWS is out this Friday! I'm already drooling...
Sorry this isn't a real post, I work every night this week, so I don't have time to review or do any looks really. I will this weekend, pinky promise. Until I have enough time to post, I will just continue reading your lovely blogs. I hope you week is going well, only 2 days until the weekend!

Hauls of the Week!
Before I get to the good stuff, I just wanted to share a story from today... apparently there was a small fire at my school last week, and apparently, because there was a videotape of a silver SUV before the fire (which I drive), that means I did it. They couldn't tell the license plate. They couldn't tell who was in the car. I got pulled into the deans office for 50 minutes and got questioned and harassed and accused. They wouldn't even tell me why I was there for the first 30 minutes. They talked to my brother and some of my friends, and scared them too, and tried to psych us all out into admitting something we didn't do. It really pissed me off, to say the least. I hate high school so much T_T
Here are my hauls! If you have any questions about what anything is, just ask. :)
CVS 50-75% discount!
Some other fun CVS stuff
Walgreens! Rimmel is half off, and these Sally Hansen polishes were too pretty to pass up, even though I don't usually like drugstore polish. I finally got a bar glitter!
Everything I got today all together. Total cost? Only around $30! I'm excited to try the mousse blush. I'm glad I got these good prices while they're happening, this is probably all the drugstore stuff I'll buy for the next few months. I really like all the indie companies I've been ordering from; I rarely make drugstore stops anymore!
My haul from Cherry Culture- I already want more NYX.
The stuff I got from the Beauty Ticket sale- Stila lipstick, 2 Jelly Pong Pong lip sorbets, and 2 Too Faced Sparkle glosses (these are AMAZING! Go buy some!)
I've also gotten orders from Morgana Minerals and Beautiful Girl Minerals I need to review, and some GORGEOUS Aromaleigh colors to swatch. Hope you enjoyed, and your week started off better than mine :P

Photo Tag & Over the Top Award!
My blog titles are so boring, but at least you know exactly what you're getting. It's not like Olive Garden where you always think you're ordering a fancy pasta dish and it's just spaghetti and tomato sauce... happens to me every time.
I was tagged by Miss Vintage Vogue! You're SUPPOSED to go into your first photo album in your computer and look at the 10th picture and post it, but I'm going to look at my 10th Facebook picture.
My friend from back when I was little put this on Facebook, that's me in the striped shirt on the couch. My brother is on the floor with a matching shirt... how embarrassing. I recognize that house as my friend's, the little girl in the purple dress. I don't remember this exact day, but I guess her dad was playing us a song on his guitar. :)
I also got the Over the Top blog award from Alina!

Happy 101 Tag
I got the Happy 101 tag from Lisa Kate, who I totally adore :3 It's 10 things that make me happy, and I have to tag 10 blogs! Or however many I FEEL LIKE, what are you gonna do about it? Okay okay... I did 11, I'm not a huge rebel.
1. SPRAY BUTTER. Not your grandma's dumb spreadable butter.
2. THE X-FILES. I'm on season 7, devastated at the thought of my life once I'm done with the series and the latest movie... I dream about Mulder and Scully at least twice a week. Sadly, that's not a joke. The picture below is the X-Files poster I got for Christmas!
3. MOVIES. Not your typical lame girly movies... those are for chumps. Horror movies are my favorite, ones that push you to the limits and make you scream. But I also love disturbing movies, classic comedies, and Fred & Ginger movies. I am as into movies as I am into makeup... that should tell you something. Last night, I watched The Midnight Meat Train :D
4. SNEAKERS. I have probably around 12 pairs of bright ass sneakers, and maybe 10 pairs of flats. I'm going to show you guys a picture of my shoe collection sometime. These are the ones I got for Christmas.
5. SAM.
6. HELLO KITTY. I know a lot of people probably hate Hello Kitty. I would say she hates you too, but her heart is made of pure good and she could never hate anyone.
7. LADY GAGA. LOVE LOVE LOVE
8. CUTE ANIMAL PICTURES! I have the Cute Overload page a day 2010 calender :D
9. When Blogger doesn't keep changing the font I'm using, dammit!
10. FALLING ASLEEP WITH MY DUMB CAT :) Yes, this is my cat, and no, I did not pose it. Sometimes she likes to hold things while she sleeps.
I tag...
