NYX lipstick & lipgloss swatches
This is the longest I have ever gone without posting in my blog! I have been so busy lately, and I have really missed blogging and reading everyone else's blogs!
I thought I'd do swatches of the NYX stuff I ordered from Cherry Culture when they were having their Black Friday sale, along with the few that I already had. It is a real PITA to try and decide what colors to order, since the Cherry Culture swatches are so incorrect and useless. While I was searching for swatches I found this blog. It's really great, and there are lots of swatches of different NYX products. Go follow!
I have 3 of the Round Lipsticks in the colors Georgia (618), Watermelon (616), and Tea Rose (628). I think I used to have a couple others that I either threw away or gave to friends because the colors didn't work for me.
Kitty likes lipstick :3
From left to right: Georgia, Watermelon, Tea Rose
Georgia and Watermelon are frosty, and I feel like they're harder for me to pull off. I fell in love with Tea Rose though, it is almost an exact match to my natural lip color.
I got one Diamond Sparkle lipgloss in Rose Sparkle (01). It is kind of metallic and I don't think I could ever wear it out without using a lip scrub first.
All of the NYX Girls Round Lip Glosses I have are very pretty, but they have this artificial lemon smell that I don't like. It reminds me of pledge. From left to right is Strawberry (11), Sparkle (05), Kiss (20), and Ballerina Pink (36).
I hope these swatches were helpful, and I'm looking forward to blogging regularly again :) How were your holidays? What did you give/get for Christmas? I got a dolphin Pillow Pet, some Bruce Willis movies (love him), 2 Wiimotes for our old broken Wii I'm taking with me to Texas (the disk reader doesn't work, but my brother just downloads games and puts them on a hard drive ;P) Hello Kitty oven mitts, and these Nikes that I asked for. I even got a cute scarf from my manager, so it was a really nice Christmas! Did anyone get any cool makeup? Are you hauling from the new MAC collections? I haven't been here in a while, I must catch up on everything!!

Sleek Acid palette EOTD
I used NYX jumbo eye pencil in Cottage Cheese as a base. I love this look, even though apparently I got makeup in my contacts, on top of my mascara, and my eye looks like it has bubbles in the one picture... I think it was the eye pencil *_* My last day of high school is in 7 hours! YAAAAAY! Now I will actually have time to do FOTDs every day to show you guys :) I have so many swatches I have been meaning to do too, but it has been cloudy and rainy here every day. Once it's nice again I will have lovely pictures for you!

Saint Patrick's Day EOTD
I like days like this, just because they're silly. It's the same reason I like class color day at school, just cus it's cute for everyone to be matching. And I'm actually somewhat Irish. My great grandparents on my dad's side were from Ireland. I just realized I don't even know what this holiday is supposed to be celebrating :P Side note about life: my school went into a code red lockdown today, meaning all the teachers have to lock all the doors, and we can't leave the classroom. I think if anyone actually gets in the school, we're supposed to turn off all the lights and huddle in a corner or something weird like that. The reason for the lockdown was that there was an armed robbery in one of the neighborhoods nearest school. So that was interesting *shrugs*
What I used:
UDPP
Acid Rain by Urban Decay (over lid)
Can't See The Forest, by Hi Fi (outer lid)
Leif, by Fyrinane (crease)
Tell Me Lies, by Hi Fi (highlight)
Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara
Covergirl eyeliner in brown black (waterline)
NYX eye pencil in Acid Green (below waterline)
Revlon PhotoReady translucent finisher
Urban Decay ultraglide lip gloss in Lust
Here is my outfit from yesterday, just because it's cute. I got the dress for only $12 on clearance at Charlotte Russe, and the Hollister jacket for $5 at Goodwill. I love bargains!
And here's some HKOTD. Tin lunch boxes! One which includes... a bunch of Hello Kitty lip glosses and balms :D
Spring break tomorrow, woo! I'm leaving for Texas on Sunday or Monday to see my baby and look for an apartment :D

2 Looks with the Sleek Acid Palette
I have had so much fun trying this stuff out the last 2 days... I have no doubt I will go to it for my makeup tomorrow morning too. I love these shadows, they are so soft and creamy feeling, and so damn pigmented! I haven't even tried the eye burning neons yet! Me wants more Sleek palettes @_@ I am so loving pressed shadows right now.
In the first look I am also wearing NYX lipstick in Georgia (the only good color for me of the 4 I've bought), Twilight I blush by I Touch Roses, Covergirl eyeliner in brown black, and mark Scanda-lash mascara. Revlon ColorStay underye concealer & PhotoReady Translucent Finishing Powder. It's nothing super exciting, but I wanted more toned down makeup than the bright ass melon look I did the other day (the last look from my previous post).
I did silver on the ball of my lid, and used the really metallic blue for the inner lid, and the darker blue for the outer lid. It looks like the same blue in the picture, but it's not. I also used silver under my waterline, but only part way.
This next one was something I did today, over NYX jumbo pencil in Cottage Cheese as a base. I thought "Oh, those two colors will look nice together", but they look WAY better than I even expected! I kept looking into the mirror at my eyes when I was hanging out with my boyfriend. We watched Are You Afraid of the Dark! This post of Blix's reminded me my DVD set of it has been sitting untouched for quite a while. Oh the nostalgia! I used a Milani Powder Mosaic in Sweet Cheeks, L'Oreal Collegen Mascara, Fyrinnae's Pink Guitar lip lustre, and Too Faced sparkler gloss over that in Violet Vapor. Revlon ColorStay underye concealer & PhotoReady Translucent Finishing Powder.
I love this palette! And I love blush now you guys! I never used it before blogging. ;]
I haven't done an HKOTD in a while, so here ya go. My big kitty and my little kitty ^_^
That picture understates how huge that Hello Kitty is... exhibit B. I'm sitting.
I have a million cute pictures of my kitty. I know there's a lot of cat fans out there, would you be interested in a post of some kitty pictures? Answer honestly cus I don't want to spend time resizing them all if you're gonna be like "Omg get on with the makeup already you crazy cat lady weirdo..." :P Ps Rachel, I ate the chocolate bar today while watching a movie ^_^ So yummy!

Neutralish EOTD
I say Neutralish because I feel like there is no such thing as a neutral with Aromaleigh! When I think neutral, I think boring. There are no boring Aromalrigh colors. It's the only place I order a lot of non brights from, because even colors I would typically consider "dull" are just beautiful. Moth is a browny grey, with an amazing green interface that only shows up when it hits the light just right. Totally grab a sample ;]
What I used:
Detrivore eyeshadow primer
Moth, by Aromaleigh (inner lid)
Brianna, by Aromaleigh (outer lid)
Oh Precious Patience, by The She Space (crease)
Feel the Heat, by High Voltage (highlight)
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese (inner v)
Covergirl eyeliner in brown black (waterline)
NYX eye pencil in Acid Green (under waterline)
Urban Decay Lingerie lash primer
mark scanda-lash mascara
Revlon Colorstay under eye concealer
Revlon PhotoReady translucent finishing powder
mark blush in After Glo
NYX lipstick in Georgia
mark luxe gloss in Pearl Luxe
What is up with the mascara in that picture... anyway. I really like the new Revlon PhotoReady face powder I've been using. I always try to keep my face as matte as possible, because I usually feel like I can't pull off the "dewy" look. I think this keeps shine on my face without making me look oily, so I really like it. Downside to this powder is the cost: $11 is a huge leap up from the $4 Covergirl stuff I was using. Drugstore makeup is getting pricey these days! Also, it has a weird smell, like a bathroom that's just been cleaned with a floral cleaner... I don't know how to describe it. I think it makes my skin look really nice though, so the pros outweigh the cons.
HKOTD!
Trash can! 16th birthday gift :] That's my 2009 calender next to it... too cute to throw away.
Oh, and in case there's someone who hasn't seen this article from anyone else's blog... here. I've already left my pissy comments about it on other people's blogs, you can rant here if you want. :P

MAIL HAUL!
I got 4 packages in the mail today!
From Avon/mark
Aromaleigh
High Voltage Cosmetics
and Cherry Culture!
These pictures are pretty lame colorwise, everything looks a lot brighter irl. The L.A. Colors due, though, actually looks like that, definitely NOT like the picture on the Cherry Culture site *sigh*
Hmm... nope.
I also wanted to show you my nails, using Wet N Wild's "Rain Check" which I got for 99 cents :) I used a coat of CG's Matte Magic on top.
It's grey, it's blue! I love it! PS, I know the yellow is dirty! It's not my carpet, but the towel I keep under my makeup area to try and stop ruining the carpet ;]
I was going to take pictures of my whole Hello Kitty collection and post it, but I decided I'm going to do a Hello Kitty of the Day instead! I don't think showcasing some of my weirder things individually will make me look like any less of a loony, but it'll be more fun! Here are some knee socks my friend Emily just picked me up. I can't wait for warmer weather so I can wear them with a cute little skirt!
I hope everyone's week is going well.

Snow Day EOTD! & 100 followers!
Ahhh I can't believe I have 100 followers! This is so exciting :D I will obviously be having a giveaway to celebrate, but you may have to wait a while for that, lol.
Yesterday we had a shit ton of snow and school was canceled :D The roads were really not bad, so I ended up going to the mall, and to one of the Asian grocery stores and getting mochi ice cream. Delicious! I wanted to do a blue and silver look (overdone, I know) to seem winter-y.
What I used:
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese (base, inner v)
Lithium, by Hi Fi (inner lid)
Shroud, by Detrivore (ball of the eye)
Enchanting Sapphire, by Morgana (outer lid, crease)
Tell Me Lies, by Hi Fi (highlight)
Broken Mirror, by Meow (under waterline)
Covergirl eyeliner in brown black
Crappy Hot Topic silver eyeliner
Miliani Infinite Liquid Liner in Infinite (blue)
Urban Decay Lingerie Eyelash Primer
L'Oreal Extra Collegen mascara
Bare Escentuals Buxom Lip Gloss in Hope
Rimmel mousse blush in Frozen Cherry
Wow, I used a lot of stuff for this look! It drives me craaazy how my lips always look the same. This gloss has a really cool pink iridescence to it. I wasn't going to do waterline eyeliner, but the white around my eyes made them look so big it was almost creepy. I needed a visible ending point :P The glitter was more obvious in actuality, which I thought really completed the "snowy" look.
Also, this Hot Topic liner SUCKS. It is really hard to use, and I had to dip it back in probably 5 times per eye. The Milani liner, however, is fantastic, it stayed on all day without the tiniest smudge. I really recommend it, especially because you can get it in bright purple (I did) and bright green!
Thank you everyone for following me :) It makes me so happy. I hope you like the look and your week is going well!

Anniversary & EOTD
Thursday night was my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. We went out to this amazing Japanese restaurant, and I got a chance to wear a dress!
My look for the night was quick and simple, and I did it after seeing this post on the Painted Princess blog.
I used NARS Silent Night for the gold, and some Jane stuff as the black, with L.A. Colors shimmering eyeshadow in Honeysuckle as the highlight. I am in looove with Honeysuckle. When I apply it, it blends into my skin tone enough that you can see some shimmer, but no real color, so it's perfect highlight.
Today I wanted to use colors I had never tried before. Sadly, it's a nasty day out and the lighting is terrible, so the pictures aren't the best.
What I used:
NYX Ultra Pearl Mania pigment in Jade (inner lid)
Atomic, from the Aromaleigh Rocks! collection (center lid)
Nymphette, by Evil Shades (outer lid)
Samhain Spirits, by Fyrinnae (under waterline)
Broken Road, by Hi Fi (crease)
Honeysuckle by L.A. Colors (highlight)
Rimmel Lash Maxxx Mascara
Covergirl eyeliner in brown black (waterline)
Rimmel Mousse Blush in Frozen Cherry (this stuff is amazing, even someone who sucks at blush as much as I do can't mess it up)
Jelly Pong Pong lib sorbet in Blood Orange
Ugly wallpaper!
My lips look the same in all my pictures no matter what I do to them >:[ They look different IRL, I swear! I hope everyone is having a beautiful weekend.

Hauls of the Week!
Before I get to the good stuff, I just wanted to share a story from today... apparently there was a small fire at my school last week, and apparently, because there was a videotape of a silver SUV before the fire (which I drive), that means I did it. They couldn't tell the license plate. They couldn't tell who was in the car. I got pulled into the deans office for 50 minutes and got questioned and harassed and accused. They wouldn't even tell me why I was there for the first 30 minutes. They talked to my brother and some of my friends, and scared them too, and tried to psych us all out into admitting something we didn't do. It really pissed me off, to say the least. I hate high school so much T_T
Here are my hauls! If you have any questions about what anything is, just ask. :)
CVS 50-75% discount!
Some other fun CVS stuff
Walgreens! Rimmel is half off, and these Sally Hansen polishes were too pretty to pass up, even though I don't usually like drugstore polish. I finally got a bar glitter!
Everything I got today all together. Total cost? Only around $30! I'm excited to try the mousse blush. I'm glad I got these good prices while they're happening, this is probably all the drugstore stuff I'll buy for the next few months. I really like all the indie companies I've been ordering from; I rarely make drugstore stops anymore!
My haul from Cherry Culture- I already want more NYX.
The stuff I got from the Beauty Ticket sale- Stila lipstick, 2 Jelly Pong Pong lip sorbets, and 2 Too Faced Sparkle glosses (these are AMAZING! Go buy some!)
I've also gotten orders from Morgana Minerals and Beautiful Girl Minerals I need to review, and some GORGEOUS Aromaleigh colors to swatch. Hope you enjoyed, and your week started off better than mine :P
