Purple EOTD with ecotools brush set

At Walgreens the other day I purchased a set of ecotools brushes, all for eyes. It included a shade brush, a smudge brush, a blending blush, a highlight brush, and a crease brush. I could not believe the difference having proper brushes made! I always just use the same type of eyeshadow brush for all parts of the look, because that's what I had. The ecotools brushes are really soft and amazing. The blending brush is my new favorite thing ever :D I'm kinda bummed about these pictures, in real life it looked so much more amazing. I was really pleased. What I used: UDPP NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk as base Mysteria by Evil Shades (inner lid) Unnamed Forever 21 purple pigment (outer lid) Shocking by Sassy (crease) Tell Me Lies, by Hi Fi (highlight) Milani Infinite liquid liner in Endless L'Oreal extra collegen mascara Covergirl eyeliner in brown black (waterline) Rimmel eyeliner in Loveable Lilac, topped with Mysteria (below waterline) Revlon ColorStay undereye concealer Revlon PhotoReady translucent finisher Rimmel mousse blush in Frozen Cherry Pixi lip booster in Thena HKOTD: Coin tin! Side note, I am seeing the midnight premier of Alice In Wonderland next week! I am so excited. I think I'm going to do my makeup like the queen of hearts, and I'm going to try and convince my blonde friend going with me to let me make her into Alice. :D Alice's Adventures In Wonderland is my favorite book of all time, with Through The Looking Glass as a close second... I love anything Alice, and I love how many renditions and interpretations there are of it. I'm going to love this movie! Who else is excited? Edit: I just realized the tin is sitting on top of a bunch of post-its that I wrote my favorite quotes from Alice's Adventures In Wonderland on. I'm such a nerdy birdy

  1. I am not excited. There are 3 shots of Alice in the trailer, and 2 are from behind! (well one she turns around but she's not the focus of the shot, she just happens to be there) I'm really worried Tim Burton's made another Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... Which will upset me because I love the book! And the Disney version. It looks like it's going to be the Mad Hatter in Wonderland...

Anyway, you really suit purple and I love the look! I'm really interested in the Ecotools sets- being a veggie and all. I think I'll look in Tescos when I go home.

  5. You look like Alice with that head band. In fact your room is very Wonderland-esque to me. I love the way it's painted. What do you think of the Forever 21 pigments? :3

  6. @RaeRae: If it ends up being all about Johnny Depp I'll be really upset... I've actually never seen the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! I don't see the point, cus how can you get better than the original? Thank you too :) I really love these brushes, I never got why people cared about what kind they use, and now I totally get it.

@Y: I only have 2 pigments, a purple and a pink that came together in a set for $1.50... too cheap not to try! They have a blue and green eye palette I'd like to try too, as well as some glosses.

@bowsnhearts: Thank you :) I hope it lives up to our expectations!

@Sagu: I really like them! Ooh, thank you, I wanted someone to tag me for that just because I thought the picture was so cute, lol. :3

@Pixie_a_la_mode: Teehee, thanks! I take the Alice thing as a compliment, lol. I painted my room myself, it was ridiculously difficult, and there may be paint all over the floor and ceiling still...:P I thought for basically the most dirt cheap makeup I have ever seen, it stayed vibrant enough throughout the day. It is really soft and plushy feeling, and you have to really use a bit to get it the right pigmentation. For $1.50 for two colors though, I don't care.

  7. So cute! I love how the hair bow matches your eyes! Freakin' adorable. ^^ I'm tempted to buy the ecotools brush set and now I might just get one seeing as you like them so much! I only have a couple of eyeshadow brushes that I use too lol.

  8. Yay I'm so glad you got a set of the ecoTools brushes! I really do love them. I couldn't believe what a difference using different brushes made, either. I had a set of MAC brushes for a long time but didn't know how to use them. Once I figured out that using different brushes for different things really mattered, I was happy :)

  9. Awesome look!

I'm going to the midnight show for Alice, too. I'm making an alice dress for me to wear. It's actually going to be a shoerter long sleeved, empire waist dress with a pretty full skirt and I'm going to wear it over jeans with a little apron on top :)

I'm pumped! It looks amazing, but reminds me A LOT of the Looking Glass Wars (which if you have not read, you totally should)!

  10. Oh wow, that is a lovely look, really cute. And it's true that having proper brushes really helps (though they don't have to be expensive).
Also i replied to your comment on my morgana minerals post, would you like me to send you the Coraline's Kiss sample so you can try it on yourself? :)

  11. How awesome are Ecotools brushes? :D I still cant get over how soft they are, and I've been using them since like August last year.

Blues and purples look epic with your eye colour!

  12. @Charry: thank you so much!

@Jeri: thanks! GET THE ECOTOOLS BRUSHES *_*

@Phyrra: I feel like they really have improved the way my makeup has looked the last few days.

@Ciao: That sounds amazing! Make sure you post pictures! I just searched Looking Glass Wars on Wikipedia and they sound really cool. I'm going to get the first one next time I go to the library!

    @Lillian: thank you!

@SilhouetteScreams: I know, I didn't even know they made brushes that soft. The crappiest brushes I have are actually Lancome, they are rough and sheddy. I hate them. Thank you, I love purples on me the best :3
