Hi Fi regular collection & Rockstar collection swatches

Sorry I haven't been posting this last week! I have been working so much, and I've been pretty exhausted. I hope the big paycheck I'm getting will seem worth it, because sometimes I feel like I live at Arby's. I actually had time today to do some bloggy stuff, so I thought I'd do some Hi Fi swatches so everyone can see some before the shop closes for a month (read more about that here). Also, Blogger, if you would stop flipping all my pictures, I would greatly appreciate it. You are annoying and I'm not amused. Here's some shadows from the core line. Apparently I was on a real neutral kick when I ordered. All swatched over Concrete Minerals primer. From left to right/ up to down: Hail Caesar, Melancholy Requiem, The Sultan, Adagio, Chains of Shame, Bittersweet From left to right/ up to down: Disco, Fear the Nobodies, Red Wine, Beautiful Nightmare, Overdose Now for the really exciting stuff, swatches from The Rockstar collection! I am in love with these. All these shadows are to die for, they're so amazing and beautiful. All swatched over Hi Fi High Impact Shadow Fix (because they are very glittery). From left to right/ up to down: Mosh Pit, Top 40, Sound Check, On Tour, Sell Out, Sex Drugs & Rock N Roll From left to right/ up to down: Notorious, Backstage, Mug Shot, Acceptance Speech, Best Dressed, #1 Hit Single Yummy colors :) I don't own any Sugarpill (no samples & too expensive), but lots of these colors remind me of some of theirs that I've wanted. I'd bet On Tour is comparable to Goldilux. These pictures do it no justice, it looks like liquid gold. Notorious reminds me of Magpie, a shade I really love. Backstage is like Starling, and Mug Shot is like Absinthe. As I said, I don't have any Sugarpill so I can't compare, it's just how I see them. I might be totally off base here. Any of these colors appeal to you? Will you be ordering from Veronica before she temporarily closes up shop?

  1. Oh man these are just beautiful! This is making me consider ordering from there, I normally don't buy mineral eyeshadows but these shades look too good to pass up!

  3. I have some of those colors and I love them! Sound Check has been my go-to pink lately. I just got an order, so it'll be awhile before I order again.

  4. Love the Rockstar swatches! I couldn't compare them to Sugarpill unless I had them in front of me but they're gorgeous in their own right. By the way, is Concrete Minerals' primer any good? I'm getting so sick of UDPP...

  6. Great swatches! I was going to place another order with Hi-Fi but then decided to let myself break down and try Meow since there was a 30% off code. :-D BUT I'm only allowing myself to buy samples and no full size shadows as I REALLY have nowhere for more jars. After all the work supplies and trade orders from Aromaleigh...I have no business buying full size anything. My tiny bathroom can't handle more crap.
I need to try Evil Shades next. :-D

  11. I love the Rockstar shadows - it looks like we have most of the same ones!

Awesome swatches. You've inspired me to go put on my makeup again... at 10:44pm. :p

  12. Glad you like the swatches everyone!

@Simone: I use it in place of UDPP now. It is buttery soft and works the same for me as UDPP. I've done days where I use one primer on each eye, and at the end of the day the Concrete Minerals stuff held up as well as UDPP (but it's not as drying!)

@Lillian: hm I did not get your email! But I'm glad you like the lipsticks :)

  13. Ugh I hope to god that I get paid before she shuts up shop, I've been lemming the Rockstar shadows forever, and I just might die without that epic gold in my life. Because I clearly need another gold eyeshadow :P

  15. @Eplefe: WOW, thanks for doing that! Absinthe and Mug Shot are definitely not as close as I thought.

  16. I was pretty sure they'd be closer too, and I was actually sure On tour and Goldilux would be dead-on-dupes, but I was mistaken (happily so, that means I can justify more sugarpill). ^_^
