short hiatus

It may be a few weeks until I post again. I'm not adjusting well to my move and I'm really overwhelmed with everything right now. I'm trying to stay caught up on everyone's blogs. If you want to talk to me you can e-mail or tweet me. I'll be back as soon as I can.

  3. I definitely understand. I move around a lot, and it can be exhausting. What helps me is making a place to recharge, somewhere nice and cozy. Even if all your things are in various stages of unpacking, try to make a little corner somewhere where you can just sit and be for a little bit.
Best of luck to you, I hope it gets easier soon!

  4. *hug* Big changes can really upset your equilibrium, even if everything's going super-well.

Make yourself a little daily routine to ground yourself: a walk around the block, ten minutes of meditation (or just sitting listening to music and not doing anything else like reading)...something to hold on to that's yours, that you control utterly.

Hope things even out for you, and that you feel less overwhelmed. *hug*

  9. Moving anywhere isn't easy - you're leaving behind friends, family, favorite places, and all your routines often change a bit. Take your time adjusting because I know having family from Illinois and living in Texas myself that the two are very different altogether.

  12. I really dislike moving- I've always had a hard time with it. When I was 20 I moved from Massachusetts to New Orleans, not knowing anyone in my new city..or state! I'm still here and lots of amazing things happened since I moved that wouldn't have otherwise. I'm not trying to comment jack, just saying that I bet things will improve after a period of adjustment. It's hard being in an unfamiliar place at fist.
    You'll be in my thoughts!
