IT'S ALIIIIIIIIVE!
And on it's 200th post! :D
I can't believe it's been a WEEK since I last posted. I'm not caught up on anyone's blogs either, I feel so out of touch! I wish I could say I've been gone due to having a fantastically fun filled and adventurous life, but it's really because I've been sick/working/doing schoolwork/doing laundry. I've been meaning to clean my room for the past year and a half, but since I'm moving in 10 weeks, I don't see the point now, hehehe.
The looks I've been doing all week have been turning out pretty terrible, and I could not for the life of me figure out what I was doing wrong. Everything just kept looking so muddy. It seriously took me until yesterday to question when the last time I bothered to clean my brushes was. Hint: Not anytime this month. Also, not anytime last month. I'm pretty sure it was at the very end of September. So my task tonight is to CLEAN ALL THE THINGS (but really just the brushes).
Here's the only looks I've done that didn't turn into a puddle o' poop on my eyelids.
Here I used some colors from Shiro. Mew and Articuno on the lid, Mewtwo (which you can't really see due to the puddle o' poop effect) and Squirtle in the crease. SS Anne under the waterline. The highlight color is Hail Caesar by Hi Fi.
The other night before I realized the muddiness was a result of my own laziness, I got really fed up with how crappy everything kept looking, so I used some neutrals, which can never go wrong. The lid color is called Silent Night by Nars. It is really chunky and nowhere near the best gold I have, but I use it when I want to feel fancy and rich :3 The crease color is Darling Girl's Oracle, a little bit of Evil Shade's Acolyte on the lower lid, and the highlight is Hail Caesar by Hi Fi. As soon as I go off my no-buy, I'm getting a full size of this. It's my new favorite highlight color.
Before I depart again for who knows how long, does anyone have an industrial piercing? I'd like to get one but I need to know how much they hurt first, cus I'm kind of a baby. I thought the nose ring was pretty painful, for a reference.

Wow, that gold looks fantastic on you! I don't think I've ever seen gold on you before. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like the first look; the colors make me think of cotton candy bubblegum.
ReplyDeleteLove both of these looks they are really pretty on you. I like the pink with the blue it's very soft and sweet. Uhm... a friend of mine had his industrial pierced, when I asked him about it he said it was really painful. He has a high pain tolerance with several tattoos. If he says something hurts it hurt. It really depends on your pain tolerance or who does it. Another friend had it done and she said it didn't hurt at all. *shrugs* I hope that helped since it's such a wishy-washy answer.
ReplyDeleteXsparkage said industrial hurt like a beyotch and she has looooads of piercings. It made me rethink wanting one :(

ReplyDeleteSilent Night looks pretty on you.
ReplyDeleteHeather golds look awesome on you!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 200th post...that's amazing!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your golden eyeshadow look. I love gold shadow but can never really get it to look right on me.
xx

Beautiful looks! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not trying to talk you out of it, but I thought I should mention that I've known two people who got industrial piercings and one said it hurt more than child birth, while the other's took a full year to heal. :/
You look amazing in gold!!
ReplyDeleteI hear the nose is one of the most painful. But the cartilage in the ear is close too...and it takes a long time to heal with higher risk of infection...so if you do it take care of it really well!
I've always wanted one of those piercings too..but am such a baby...I got my monroe and tongue pierced on the same day and almost died!
<3,
J.
I was wondering what happened to you! Glad you are alive! Love both of the looks, especially the gold look! Very pretty! And is it sad that I have no clue what an industrial piercing is! I'm going to go google it right now! :)
ReplyDeletePretty looks! I'm not gonna sugarcoat the industrial, but it hurts like hell. I just dealt with it though since I have a high tolerance for pain. If you can't stand excruciating pain, I say skip. Just being honest :)
ReplyDeleteAbout the piercing, I don't have an industrial yet but I have a non traditional helix that goes trough the cartilage the same way an industrial would; for me, it did hurt less than the nose and since I got a 14K gold piece (it's a safety pin, I love it), it only took about a month to heal. Pain and all that aside, it did bleed like crazy so it's something else to consider.
ReplyDeleteLove the looks. The gold one is so awesome :) suits you a lot.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Both looks are so cute! The first one makes me wanna just huggles you!
ReplyDeleteI love mew on you, it's so cute!
ReplyDeleteGet the piercing... it won't hurt for long!
Mew and SS Anne look so pretty in the first look, and I loooove the gold look. The 'fancy and rich' comment made me LOL too, it reminded me of high class prostitutes or something. Not that you're a prostitute LOL XD
ReplyDeleteI don't have an industrial but I had a cartilage piercing that was a total motherfucker. It didn't hurt that much getting it done (well more than my tragus or conch) but it took over a year to heal and still kept getting infected so I took it out >_<
These are both pretty, but I especially love the gold look! It's lush.
ReplyDeleteGolds look great with your eye colour! The first look reminds me of cotton candy. So cute.
ReplyDeleteI have 8 piercings in each ear. But I have wanted an industrial piercing for YEARS. After watching someone else get one...I don't want to anymore. Looks so painful and scary! Huge needle going through two parts of the ear...redness, swelling and bleeding. No thanks!
I love you gold look very much ! Very beautyful :)
ReplyDeleteGold looks amazing on ya! I swear, its a universally flattering color.
ReplyDeleteI have industrials in both ears... I say go get 'em, they're awesome and the jewelery themselves can be very unique looking! However, the piercing can take a while to heal, and it's a pain in the ass to sleep if you get both done in the same time. It took me about half a year for them to properly heal because I'd bang my ear on something and it'd tear. >_>;
As far as pain goes, it pinches pretty good, but honestly what hurt more than the actual needle was when they were screwing the piercing on. Uuuugh, that's the annoying part.
Be very routine with cleaning them (antibiotic soap, sea salt, etc), they can get easily infected. If the infection gets serious, it can permanently warp the cartilage in your ear.
I dunno, if there's anything else you wanna know, yell at me. XD
I'm the same when it's comes to cleaning - I actually have 7 of the same GOSH foundation brush so I can use a fresh one every day and I wash them all on a Sunday. Genius, no? :)
ReplyDeleteLove the looks you've gone for! I'm a tad obsessed with anything metallic so the gold really appeals to me!
OHHYEAAHHHH!!! HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY LADY!!! :D
ReplyDeleteYAYY! which reminds me, I need to wash my gross brushes ugh. I HATE doing that but its always nice to have a fresh brush right? I love your second look.
ReplyDeleteWELL I"M SURE AS HELL NOT GETTING THE PIERCING NOW GUYS! lol thanks for your honesty <3 You've all scared me out of it. Both people I know with industrials said the same type of things- it hurts, gets infected, never heals.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice comments as well everyone :) I really appreciate it!
@All Made Up: HA that is genius!
@Y: I hate it too, like shaving... only takes a few minutes but drives me crazy.
Those Shiro eyeshadows look like they are quite nice! Great EOTD's!
