STOP SPAMMING MY BLOG

It is so annoying I have to even make a post about this. I have gotten so many spam comments in the last few days, it is ridiculous. I'm gonna be really annoyed if I have to start approving all comments before they are posted, because I like for my nice normal sweet and lovely commenters to be able to see what everyone else has said. >:[ GRRR! Sorry I haven't been posting on the regular, but I've been having so much fun enjoying my last summer before going away! Currently I'm trying to decide if the excruciating pain my body is in now was worth the massive amount of fun I had using a slip n slide yesterday... tell me about your summer adventures! :D

  1. Hahaha, I feel the same way, but I absolutely hate those word verification systems, so I just delete the spam. Problem solved.

I'm working but at least I took the summer semester off so some of a break at least. =)

  2. Ew are they pr0nz/viagra spam comments, or ones like 'OH HAI I LIKE YOUR LOOK GO ENTER MY CONTEST' when they blatantly didn't even read the post.

  4. Ugh how awful! I've been getting some weird spam where they actually comment nicely on the post but then go 'buy viagra' at the end. It's very annoying but i'd feel rude to delete them because they at lease comment properly as well!

No summer adventures yet but i'm hopinh to get a paddling pool and hang out in it with the dogs :D I want a slip n slide, i've never tried one!

  5. I agree with you on the weird spam! BUT...I have to say, yesterday I did catch up and reading a lot of people's blogs and also did let some of them know that I am having a makeup contest--but it doesn't mean that I didn't read their post. =) Some people just have amazing skills and I want to make sure they know about my contest.

  6. @Jeweled Thumb: I hate word verification as well!

@SilhouetteScreams: They're so weird, one was like "i like that cat" when I posted a picture of my new kitty, but then I click to see their page and it's a porn site, the exact same one that I was linked to from an earlier comment. I just got one that said "Cool! Follow my blog!" IF YOU HAVE TO ASK ME TO, I WON'T DO IT GRAAAHHHH

@Y: Yesterday one of mine was "pants". I LOL'd. PS, I got your money order :)

@Lillian: Maaaan, I'd just delete them anyways. I actually just read an article saying how using slip n slides is really dangerous for teens and adults because it can damage your body and cause paralysis... my muscles are screaming lol

@Nicole: Oh yeah, I obviously have no problem with that. I just hate when people are like HI ENTER MY CONTEST and that's it.

  7. Ew, that sucks. Sometimes spammers are funny, though. Like the first time I get penis enlargement spam, it's funny. About the sixth time, I'm just irritated, all, "I'm not a dude, so stop pestering me already." I also delete with abandon - if there's even a whiff of spam-possibility, DELETED! I figure if I ever delete a real commenter by mistake, they'll come back and comment again.

Also, I find it immensely amusing to yell "DELETED!" Strongbad-style in my head whenever I delete anything. :D

  8. Yep, that's why I approve comments because I get a lot of weirdos. Who has the time...

Glad you are having a great time!

  9. I hope they knock it off because I like the way you have your comments now.

Slip n' Slide huh? I haven't done that in the looooongest time, and I was kind of scared of it when I was a kid because it does hurt. XD

This summer I'm working and being a mom... and playing every video game I can get my hands on. :D

  11. I have to moderate comments now due to weird spamming and Twitter feeds. Painful.

The Viagra spam I can deal with - I just delete it and the IP.

But it's the 'Hi, great post. Visit my site http://xxxxxx.blogspot.com' stuff that drives me to distraction because they have zero interest in my site - it's just about promoting their own.
