2 Looks with the Sleek Acid Palette

I have had so much fun trying this stuff out the last 2 days... I have no doubt I will go to it for my makeup tomorrow morning too. I love these shadows, they are so soft and creamy feeling, and so damn pigmented! I haven't even tried the eye burning neons yet! Me wants more Sleek palettes @_@ I am so loving pressed shadows right now. In the first look I am also wearing NYX lipstick in Georgia (the only good color for me of the 4 I've bought), Twilight I blush by I Touch Roses, Covergirl eyeliner in brown black, and mark Scanda-lash mascara. Revlon ColorStay underye concealer & PhotoReady Translucent Finishing Powder. It's nothing super exciting, but I wanted more toned down makeup than the bright ass melon look I did the other day (the last look from my previous post). I did silver on the ball of my lid, and used the really metallic blue for the inner lid, and the darker blue for the outer lid. It looks like the same blue in the picture, but it's not. I also used silver under my waterline, but only part way. This next one was something I did today, over NYX jumbo pencil in Cottage Cheese as a base. I thought "Oh, those two colors will look nice together", but they look WAY better than I even expected! I kept looking into the mirror at my eyes when I was hanging out with my boyfriend. We watched Are You Afraid of the Dark! This post of Blix's reminded me my DVD set of it has been sitting untouched for quite a while. Oh the nostalgia! I used a Milani Powder Mosaic in Sweet Cheeks, L'Oreal Collegen Mascara, Fyrinnae's Pink Guitar lip lustre, and Too Faced sparkler gloss over that in Violet Vapor. Revlon ColorStay underye concealer & PhotoReady Translucent Finishing Powder. I love this palette! And I love blush now you guys! I never used it before blogging. ;] I haven't done an HKOTD in a while, so here ya go. My big kitty and my little kitty ^_^ That picture understates how huge that Hello Kitty is... exhibit B. I'm sitting. I have a million cute pictures of my kitty. I know there's a lot of cat fans out there, would you be interested in a post of some kitty pictures? Answer honestly cus I don't want to spend time resizing them all if you're gonna be like "Omg get on with the makeup already you crazy cat lady weirdo..." :P Ps Rachel, I ate the chocolate bar today while watching a movie ^_^ So yummy!

Anniversary & EOTD

Thursday night was my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. We went out to this amazing Japanese restaurant, and I got a chance to wear a dress! My look for the night was quick and simple, and I did it after seeing this post on the Painted Princess blog. I used NARS Silent Night for the gold, and some Jane stuff as the black, with L.A. Colors shimmering eyeshadow in Honeysuckle as the highlight. I am in looove with Honeysuckle. When I apply it, it blends into my skin tone enough that you can see some shimmer, but no real color, so it's perfect highlight. Today I wanted to use colors I had never tried before. Sadly, it's a nasty day out and the lighting is terrible, so the pictures aren't the best. My lips look the same in all my pictures no matter what I do to them >:[ They look different IRL, I swear! I hope everyone is having a beautiful weekend.

Happy 101 Tag

I got the Happy 101 tag from Lisa Kate, who I totally adore :3 It's 10 things that make me happy, and I have to tag 10 blogs! Or however many I FEEL LIKE, what are you gonna do about it? Okay okay... I did 11, I'm not a huge rebel. 1. SPRAY BUTTER. Not your grandma's dumb spreadable butter. 2. THE X-FILES. I'm on season 7, devastated at the thought of my life once I'm done with the series and the latest movie... I dream about Mulder and Scully at least twice a week. Sadly, that's not a joke. Horror movies are my favorite, ones that push you to the limits and make you scream. But I also love disturbing movies, classic comedies, and Fred & Ginger movies. I am as into movies as I am into makeup... that should tell you something. Last night, I watched The Midnight Meat Train :D 4. SNEAKERS. I have probably around 12 pairs of bright ass sneakers, and maybe 10 pairs of flats. I'm going to show you guys a picture of my shoe collection sometime. These are the ones I got for Christmas. 5. SAM. 6. HELLO KITTY. I know a lot of people probably hate Hello Kitty. I would say she hates you too, but her heart is made of pure good and she could never hate anyone. 7. LADY GAGA. A Piece of Me, January

I like: hot chocolate, hot tea, hot cider. not feeling compelled to buy clothes, since it's too cold for anything but hoodies. it's my one year with my boyfriend this month. I don't like: it's the last day of break, my boyfriend's gone for 2 weeks, I have hives from stress, and I couldn't get Lady Gaga tickets. I want you to know: that I'm not getting a lot of hours at work right now, so I won't have too many reviews and swatches, most likely. I've planned: to finish cleaning my room...sometime... I want to say to someone special: I miss you Sam. I love you.

Christmas LOTD and China Glaze NOTD

My mom got me some NARS eyeshadow for my stocking when she went to Sephora. I feel so sophisticated and fancy now! All my designer stuff has been given to me, I'm too money-concious to buy it myself. Right now my best friend is in NYC, and she is going to get me my Christmas gift from Sephora. :P I wanted to try out my new Sassy stuff, so here's a EOTD. What I used: NARS eyeshadow in Silent Night (lid) Risk Taker, by Sassy (lid eyeliner) Covergirl eyeliner in grown black (waterline) Glass House, by Sassy (under waterline) L'Oreal Voluminous mascara mark lip gloss in Lucky Luxe The All Natural Face blush in Terra Cotta Here are my nails with a China Glaze Khrome color, Hi-Tek. The picture is not the best, but I think it gets the color right. In the lighting right now, the shine almost seems pink, but that may just be the lights off of the Christmas tree. Tonight my family went out to dinner without me, because I didn't have time to go eat with them before I had to go to work. About 40 minutes after they left, my manager called me and said I didn't have to work tonight, but I should come anyway because there was a lot of food people brought in. I ate dinner at work. I really love my job so much. You wouldn't think of Arby's as so great, but I work with awesome people, who are so nice and generous. Because of them, I didn't eat dinner alone this Christmas Eve. :) Having a job I truly enjoy is one of the best gifts I could ask for. I have very bad anxiety problems, and driving to work without that feeling of panic, and having a generally calm shift is really helpful. My job means a lot to me. So does my boyfriend, who I've been dating for almost a year now, who loves me so much. We're going to college together so we don't have to be apart. He has a lot of shit he deals with and I'm so thankful he still has so much love in his heart for me. I love him so much. I just wanted to share that, and I hope everyone thinks of the non-material gifts as just as, if not more important, than the material ones. Merry Christmas. :)

Silver EOTD

Hi everyone, my hand healed enough that I can type today! I still have blisters and burn marks over my wrists and arms though... gross! I guess I just live life on the edge, working a dangerous job like mine. Arby's is crazy, man. You drop one piece of popcorn chicken into the fryer and BAM there goes the oil splashing and you lose your left hand usage for the night. This Thanksgiving I am grateful for my boyfriend, Sam, my friends, my family, my pets (a dog, cat, 2 degus, 2 chinchillas), Lady Gaga, Hello Kitty, and MAKEUP! I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving. I decided to do a silver EOTD on Tuesday using some of my new Meow Cosmetics samples. I was left feeling semi-disappointed, like I was when I swatched them. The color 'Broken Mirror' didn't stay on well, and I had to reapply it during the day. What I used: Sabertooth, by Meow (inner lid) Broken Mirror, by Meow (center of lid) Nile, by Meow (outer lid) Train to Nowhere, by The She Space (under eyes) Max Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme Mascara I've seen the pictures of the Holiday collections on the Meow website, and there are a lot of colors that look beautiful. But I don't think I'm going to order again, especially right now. I'm trying to only spend $20 ordering makeup until Christmas, because I have to get presents for everyone. I love the holidays. :)

Simple EOTD, Friday the 13th at Meow

I'm still feeling stuffy and cold-ish from yesterday, so today I didn't bother doing my hair, and I did a simple look with my makeup. I actually really love it, I think it's interesting without being busy. What I used: Girl Genius, by The She Space (lid) London Dungeon, by Aromaleigh (as eyeliner) Luminous, by Pure Luxe (lower lash line) Rimmel London MAXX Lash mascara Here's what it looks like up close. I'm in love with London Dungeon as the eyeliner. It's a nice dark color, but since it's purple and not plain black, I think it's prettier. I also am obsessed with Girl Genius, I've been very into light light pinks lately. This was the first time I ever tried Luminous, it's so light you can barely see it in the picture. I applied it dry though, so I think I should try it wet. My Fyrinnae order has just been shipped out, so it should be here in a couple days. I also ordered some samples from Meow Cosmetics tonight. I got around 12 eyeshadow samples, and some "brow beater" samples. I'm not sure exactly how those are supposed to work, but I guess I'll find out. Most of the colors I got were from the Friday the 13th collection, and the Egyptian Treasures collection. I only ordered a few from their permanent colors, because they seemed pretty generic. And now, of course, as I vowed not to order makeup for two weeks, Aromaleigh has to go and put out an old holiday collection, and prepare to release a new collection of mattes. T_T There goes my next paycheck... Today was my boyfriend's 18th birthday. :3 We went out to Chipotle for dinner, then his parents showed me a bunch of his cute lil baby pictures. We spent the rest of the night watching The Office and cuddling. I am so lucky to have someone who I can share so much love with. I am so happy with life ever since I met Sam, and I really want everyone to be able to feel the same way someday. I'm really glad for you if you already have that. :) Us a month-ish ago. :D Another side note! I just found out about the Winchester Mystery House. How could I not have known about it sooner? I absolutely HAVE to visit. Check out the website. Since tomorrow is a Saturday, hopefully I'll have time to put together a more interesting look!
