Matte green EOTD

I'd been itching to play with mattes for a while, so yesterday I gave it a shot. I was amazed at the staying power of the colors I used, it seems like matte colors last better than their frosty/shimmery/glittery friends. By the time I had them on for about 10 hours, they still looked as bright as they did when I first applied. I had my makeup on for a total of 16 hours, and these really STAYED the whole time. What I used: Concrete Minerals eye primer Slimy, by Detrivore (inner lid) Seaweed/431 by Beauties Factory (outer lid) Banana Taffy, by Suds N Sass (crease) Feel the Heat, by High Voltage (highlight) Jordana Fabuliner in black Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in Zero Maybelline Falsies Mascara Covergirl Liquiline Blast pencil in Green Glow (under waterline) I really loved how the mattes looked. I just ordered a sample set of the Aromaleigh Hi-Fi Mattes collection, so I'm excited to test out those. I'd also like to try out more of the gorgeous mattes from Beauties Factory.

Aqua & Purple EOTD

Phyrra and Pixie always do such nice blue & purple looks, so I decided to do that color combo the other day. Sadly, my camera decided that I am only allowed to have one lid color at a time... the blue did not show up here at all, which I really don't get because it is a very vibrant teal and it definitely isn't close at all to the purples I used. It still looks like a nice purple look, though :) Side-note: I checked the tracking today for my Urban Decay Book of Shadows 3! It's in Illinois now, so hopefully I'll be getting it in the mail tomorrow. When I was asking the SA at Sephora about it (the day before it went on sale on the Sephora website, coincidentally), she didn't even know what I was talking about. I think those of us who have an intense relationship with makeup & blogging probably know more about it than a lot of the Sephora SA's do! What I used: Between the Stars, by Hi Fi (inner v) Karaoke, by Meow (inner lid) Magic Spell, by Hi Fi (invisible on outer lid) Ephemeral Violet, by Aromaleigh (crease) Crystalline, by Detrivore (highlight) I wanted to keep it soft, so I didn't use eyeliner. Not much else to say today, I hope you like the look!

Detrivore swatches

All swatches done over Concrete Minerals primer. Top row: Hemoglobin, Misery, Lotus Middle: Sordid (highlight color) Bottom row: Artery, Slimy, Crypt Top 2: Gorgon, Saprophyte Middle 2: Harpy, Asylum Bottom 2: Dagon, Kraken I thought Crypt looked similar to Meow's Illegal in 50 states, so I swatched them next to each other over Pixie Epoxy. Meow is on the left, Detrivore on the right. They are not exact, but very similar. Don't forget, Urban Decay will be on Haute Look tomorrow!

Muted Mint EOTD & blog love

Also known as "Relax, Julia Dreams of an Uncharted Crystalline Baby"! I had a very clear idea in mind of how I wanted this to look, and it didn't turn out how I planned. I should have used a NYX jumbo eye pencil (in shade Cottage Cheese) as a base since I was using such pale colors. Oh well. I still like it, it uses many colors but is very understated. What I used: Concrete Minerals Eye Primer Relax, by Sassy (lid) Uncharted, by Meow (outer v) Julia Dream, by Hi Fi (crease) Crystalline Highlight #10, by Detrivore (highlight) Baby, by Aromaleigh (under waterline) HiP Cream Crayon in Meticulous (eyeliner) Rimmel liner in brown (waterline) L'Oreal Extra Collagen mascara Maybelline Falsies mascara I never do extended out v's (I call them butterfly wings) cus I suck at getting them symmetrical, but I actually got it pretty even this time. Random updates: Going out of town for a couple days and probably won't be able to post. :( My Suds N Sass package I ordered should be getting here tomorrow, and I'm bummed I won't be able to tear it open! I have to figure out what makeup to pack, I hate making that decision... *sigh*... also, Cherry Culture is having a 20% off sale that ends on the 30th, so take advantage of it now. I placed a small order, I'll show you my goodies when they arrive. Now for some blog lovin... Yeah, I know that bobby pin is pretty awesome. You can buy them at Julissa's Etsy Shop for only $1! I got the cutest earrings too, I'll make sure to show you guys sometime. Here's some blogs I've started following recently, read them and weep (at how much beauty has just been brought into your life, obviously). I may have already posted some before, I'm not going to dig through old posts to see. Matte EOTD

Today I thought I'd try out a few colors that I've never used, and do a matte look. I was glad the few matte shades I have were orange/red/maroon types, because I really wanted to use a maroon color today. What I used: Concrete Minerals eyeshadow primer Cat's Pajamas, by Aromaleigh (inner lid) Train Wreck, by Aromaleigh (outer lid) Nymph, by Detrivore (crease) Sand, by Aromaleigh (highlight) Maybelline Falses Mascara UD Liner in Lucky (upper lid) Rimmel black liner L'Oreal HiP taupe-colored cream crayon (below waterline) NYC blush stick in Big Apple Blush (love this!) mark glow baby glow luxe gloss in Lucky I'm not going to list face products I use anymore because it's boring. I feel like I had a bunch of other stuff I wanted to say, but I can't remember any of it now, so I guess I'll just edit this if I do! Edit: Ok, one already. I deleted my Twitter, it very quickly lost it's appeal for me. Sorry ladies!

Summer/Ocean LOTD

I've been seeing so many gorgeous summery, oceany looks lately that I decided to do one as well. This is probably my favorite look so far! I feel like everything I've tried in the last couple weeks has turned out fabulous; I think I'm really improving with my makeup application. What I used: UDPP Italian Ice, by Aromaleigh (inner lid) Graffiti, by Urban Decay (center lid) Bang-Up, by Concrete Minerals (outer lid) Abyss, by Detrivore (teeny bit in outer corners) some silver L'Oreal color in crease Marigold, by Aromaleigh (highlight) Covergirl Liquiline blast eyeliners on lower lid Rimmel liner on waterline Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara Hard Candy Sheer Envy face primer Revlon PhotoReady translucent finishing powder Physician's Formula Rx Undereye concealer Rimmel moisture renew lipstick in Coral Shimmer Glamour Doll glamour gloss in Posh Life Tart blush by Sassy Minerals The pictures don't do it justice, it was so gorgeous in person. Can I say that I am in LOVE with the Covergirl liquiline blast eyeliners? They glide on so perfectly, and these two colors are awesome. I hope they come out with a ton of cool new colors. Would you guys be interested in Etsy bath/body reviews? Ever since Haus of Gloi frenzy started, I've been really interested in purchasing my body products on Etsy. I just got my order yesterday from One Hand Washes the Other, and I'll do a review if anyone is interested. There are other bath and body companies I plan on ordering from as well, so please let me know if this is something you would like to see on my blog! Happy Saturday ladies!

Panda LOTD

Don't ask me about the name... I have NO IDEA why this makes me think of pandas and bamboo and Asia. It just does. What I used: UDPP Sugar, by Hi Fi (inner lid) Putrefaction, by Detrivore (outer lid) Taboo, by Sassy (outer crease) Wanted, by Hi Fi (inner crease) Silent Night, by NARS (highlight) Rimmel liner in black Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara Hard Candy Sheer Envy face primer Revlon PhotoReady translucent finishing powder Physician's Formula Rx undereye concealer mark blush in Good Glowing Revlon matte lipstick in Pink About It And here is the shirt I was wearing, because it is awesome. Brand is Obey. I'm going to do an amazing giveaway this summer, but I'm going to do a small one soon- I found 2 bottles of Hidden Treasure at Meijer, so I'm going to throw in a couple other small goodies and start entries for that soon.

EOTD inspired by Blix

As you all know by now, sometimes I am lazy and unoriginal and want someone to give me my makeup ideas instead of thinking of them myself. So here is my look today, inspired by one from Blix. What I used: UDPP Pixie Epoxy Pink Heels, by High Voltage (lid) Putrefaction, by Detrivore (liner) Tell Me Lies, by Hi Fi (highlight) The Fancy Lad, by Fyrinnae (under waterline, it doesn't show up very well in the pictures) NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese (inner v) Rimmel eyeliner in Very Violet (waterline) Urban Decay Lingerie eyelash primer Prestige My Biggest Lashes mascara Tart blush by Sassy Minerals Coraline's Kiss lipstick, by Morgana Minerals Physician's Formula RX Undereye Concealer Revlon PhotoReady translucent finishing powder The above picture was slightly photoshopped to try and make the colors look more true to life. I love the purple and peach combo! I also ADORE the Coraline's Kiss lipstick. Melissa from Morgana Minerals saw my comment on Lillian's blog about how I wanted to try a sample, so she sent me a sample of this and 2 other lipsticks, and an eyeshadow sample. Isn't that sweet? It's things like that which make me really admire a company's customer service- that's going above and beyond what I expect. She even sent me out an email the day she shipped my samples, as if I had paid for an order. Morgana Minerals will have some new shadows and glosses coming out this month, which I'm super excited to try! How has your April Fool's Day been? I went to google this morning and totally fell for it... I was still sleepy you guys! A lot of the blogs have been doing April Fool's posts, I'm proud to say I have only fallen for was this. Have you gotten tricked today? Any great customer service stories to share?

Teal/Blue EOTD

It's 77 degrees today! :D Tomorrow it's going to be around 80, I'm overjoyed! My ideal weather is 85ish with a breeze. I like when it's a lil toasty out. I already picked out which dress to wear, heehee. A lot of people have been doing looks with teal and blue lately, so I decided to use those colors today. I'm definitely feelings these colors, so springy! What I used: UDPP forgot Pixie Epoxy :( Relax, by Sassy (inner lid) Lush, by Stardust (middle lid) +20 Beautification, by Fyrinnae (outer lid) Crystalline Highlight #10 by Detrivore (highlight) Flutura's Cloud by Aromaleigh (under waterline) Urban Decay Lingerie eyelash primer Prestige My Biggest Lashes mascara Jemma Kid i-conic eyeliner in Drama Queen (waterline) mark After Glo blush Physician's Formula Circle Rx undereye concealer Revlon PhotoReady translucent finisher Bare Escentuals Buxom gloss in Hope (clear with pink iridescence) It looks like there is a big chunk of missing shadow from my right eye... it didn't look like this irl, I think some of the colorm just got scooted up to the crease, even though I didn't use a crease color today. I got the new Physician's Formula undereye concealer when I was at Ulta- although the packaging and application is HORRIBLE, the concealer seems to be working well. It also might be because the color on this matches my skintone better, as opposed to what I was using. This also promises to make dark circles lighten over time... we'll see. I also got the Prestige mascara from Ulta. By itself I don't really like it, but used with the UD primer, it's great- totally seperated lashes, no clumping whatsoever. They don't get really big, but it's ok because they look like natural, but better. I LOVE the Detrivore Crystalline highlight powders. They are so perfect, I use the brown shade all the time (I think it's called Shrewd). I thought it was cool that every single thing I used today was from a different brand. I need to start using other blushes besides my mark blush, but it's just so convinient for my lazy self since it's a brick, and not a powder. I hope everyone is having a fantastic week! I'm off to work, I'll read all your great blogs tonight :)

Snow Day EOTD! & 100 followers!

Ahhh I can't believe I have 100 followers! This is so exciting :D I will obviously be having a giveaway to celebrate, but you may have to wait a while for that, lol. Yesterday we had a shit ton of snow and school was canceled :D The roads were really not bad, so I ended up going to the mall, and to one of the Asian grocery stores and getting mochi ice cream. Delicious! I wanted to do a blue and silver look (overdone, I know) to seem winter-y. What I used: NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese (base, inner v) Lithium, by Hi Fi (inner lid) Shroud, by Detrivore (ball of the eye) Enchanting Sapphire, by Morgana (outer lid, crease) Tell Me Lies, by Hi Fi (highlight) Broken Mirror, by Meow (under waterline) Covergirl eyeliner in brown black Crappy Hot Topic silver eyeliner Miliani Infinite Liquid Liner in Infinite (blue) Urban Decay Lingerie Eyelash Primer L'Oreal Extra Collegen mascara Bare Escentuals Buxom Lip Gloss in Hope Rimmel mousse blush in Frozen Cherry Wow, I used a lot of stuff for this look! It drives me craaazy how my lips always look the same. This gloss has a really cool pink iridescence to it. I wasn't going to do waterline eyeliner, but the white around my eyes made them look so big it was almost creepy. I needed a visible ending point :P The glitter was more obvious in actuality, which I thought really completed the "snowy" look. Also, this Hot Topic liner SUCKS. It is really hard to use, and I had to dip it back in probably 5 times per eye. The Milani liner, however, is fantastic, it stayed on all day without the tiniest smudge. I really recommend it, especially because you can get it in bright purple (I did) and bright green! Thank you everyone for following me :) It makes me so happy. I hope you like the look and your week is going well!

Multicolor LOTD

Hey guys, my look from the other day was partly inspired by this look of Phyrra's, and from a bottle of Garnier leave in conditioner crap on my floor. :) I used shades that had a low amount of shimmer in them, and I really like the way it turned out! What I used: googoomuck, by Aromaleigh (lid) Rising Tide, by Hi Fi (outer lid and crease) Lancome Hypnose mascara (I wish I could afford a full size >_>) Palladio eye ink in Eggplant (eyeliner) Covergirl liner in brown black (waterline) Alive, by Hi Fi (orange under waterline) Creature, by Detrivore (purple under waterline) Glass House, by Sassy Minerals (highlight) Lipology Outrageously Glossy Lip Sheer (the color name isn't listed on the package after you take off the wrapping, sorry! But I would reccomend any of these glosses, they're really pretty, and not very sticky. They smell AMAZING too, I got some on sale for $2 each at Meijer). I hope you like the look! I've noticed how my blog layout sort of looks super lame, and how my banner is just using some random picture I stole off Google. I want to make it better but I am not good at this HTML stuff... I used to be, back when I was 14 and needed to make myself cool MySpace layouts! I think I maybe am supposed to have one of those disclaimer things too, but I don't see why, since I'm not cool enough to actually get free shit from companies. I will try and figure out what to do about the layout soon, I hope!

Purple EOTD

What I used: Sobe Botanicals blush in Orgasmic Bath and Body Works Liplicious gloss in Sparkling Plum eyelid, from inner to outer- Tamarind, by Aromaleigh Muse, by Detrivore Creature, by Detrivore Endless Party, by Sassy Minerals Sabertooth, by Meow (eyeliner) highlight color- Sand, by Aromaleigh mixed with Tell Me Lies, by Hi Fi L'Oreal Extra Collegen mascara Covergirl eyeliner in brown black (waterline) Palladio eye ink in Eggplant (lower lid liner) Sorry the way I tell you my products is always so unorganized! I got the Palladio eye ink free when I ordered from Evil Shades, it's a felt tip liquid eyeliner, which is new for me because I have never used anything but pencil liner (weird, I know). I really like it and now I want some more eyeliner like this... the Palladio website has a lot of cool stuff, and I'm pretty sure this is a brand that Sally Beauty has, so I want to check it out next time I go! I really like how I look in these pictures, which is why there are so many. Isn't the collagen mascara amazing? It makes my lashes so HUGE! I seriously don't get the negative reviews I've seen for it, it's my favorite mascara by far. I couldn't capture the real shade of the gloss in the picture- it's glittery, but not in a childish way. It's more of a purple-pink-red, so even though it's dark, it looks really good on me (I usually can't wear red or dark glosses). Here's a blurry pic so you can see the glitter. I love this gloss so far, which I got out of a clearance gift set from BABW. I'm going to try their other Liplicious glosses, which all look nice. I wish I could do their Mentha lip shine, but I hate glosses that make your lips chilly and tingly. Most people I know love it, but not me! Have you tried any of the Liplicious glosses? I'd love to know people's opinions. Also, does anyone has an awesome hand cream suggestion for me? My hands are DYING. I'm using CO Bigelow lemon body lotion from BABW, which is really great for moisturizing sensitive skin (it's what I use after I shave), but it's so cold here that I really think I need a thick hand cream. Suggestions will be loved! I hope everyone had a nice weekend! I start school again tomorrow, bleh. One more semester of high school and I'm done!

Pink is for Love :)

Yesterday I was inspired yet again by Lady Gaga- this one is based off of Lovegame. It was also my 11 months with my boyfriend, so I wanted to do a pinky, Valentines-esque look. What I used: Tell Me Lies, by Hi Fi (inner lid) Beautiful, by Hi Fi (center of lid) Starlet, by Detrivore (outer lid) Bandits in Bras, by The She Space (pink liner) londondungeon, by Aromaleigh (dark liner- why haven't I bought a full size of this yet?) Covergirl eyeliner in brown black (waterline) Equality, by Fyrinnae (under waterline) Max Factor Lash MAXXX mascara Detrivore Primer, with Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy on top Fyrinnae lip lustre in Lollipop-Pop Wet N Wild Glassy Gloss in Candy Glaze on top of the lip lustre I don't think you can tell so much from the picture, but I attempted blush! I never wear it cus I always make myself look dumb. I used Hi Fi's Beautiful, since it's such a light pink. I think it actually turned out well! I'm going to try blush again soon. :3

Black EOTD

I was listening to my beloved Lady Gaga and was inspired to do this look (from the song Vanity). That song is like my theme song, haha. "Nothing's wrong with being just a little bit vain, we need a little pretty cus this country's insane"... so true, Gaga. So true. What I used: Nile, by Meow (inner lid) Abyss, by Detrivore (outer lid, crease) Train to Nowhere, by The She Space (eyeliner) Voluminous by L'Oreal mascara some Max Factor gloss... r.i.p. Max Factor in America ;_; I love a good old black eye look sometimes. Also, the hoodie I'm wearing is one I thought I ruined because this stupid spot wouldn't come out, and now it's magically gone! \(^o^)/ Annnd I painted my nails with OPI's Russian Navy. This picture looks exactly how it looks irl, at least to me. There's some purple shimmer, but you can only see it if you do a single coat, and I wanted an actual navy, so I did two coats. I love OPI more than any other polish because of the brush. I am HORRIBLE at painting my nails, and the fat brush makes it easier for me to do an acceptable job.
