Sephora Lemmings

I'm back from Texas! I aboslutely LOVED it there. The town was so beautiful, and it wasn't all creepy-south like I imagined, since it's a huge college town. I found the greatest apartment, a 2 bedroom so there's enough room for me and my chinchillas :] My parents are helping me out with payments, and right now the agreement is that I will pay $200 a month, so that covers utilities and part of rent. I will definitely need to cut back on my makeup spending while I'm there, and try to save as much as possible so I have funds in case of an emergency or something. I also need to curb my spending right now, which is hard, as I have about a million indie things I want, as well as a bunch of stuff from mark/Avon, and from the Hard Candy line, and from Sephora and Ulta. :P Luckily most of it is pretty cheap, so I can still get a few things here and there even though I'm saving. Plus I have a Target gift card since I got Employee of the Month again, so I can get some pretty things with that ^_^ I did a cool look today, but I don't have the camera here with me, so hopefully I can post pictures later when my mom comes home with it. I really feel like posting though, so here is my high-end makeup lemming list of the moment! All of it is priced really well, all very affordable. Some of it is on sale though, so I should probably snatch some things up before the sales end... images are clickable.
I know Ulta brand isn't actually "high end", but I thought it fit with this wishlist well enough.
As you can see, I really love sets. I think you get a lot of different stuff for your money. The only oddball is the UD liner in shade Ecstasy... I have ones of their liquid liners already that I got for $5 off HauteLook, and I love it. It applies amazingly. I have tried NYX and Milani liquid liner also and I canNOT apply them well. This liner is the greatest shade of purple ever, and I know I'll actually be able to apply it. What high end makeup are you craving right now? I'd love to see your current lemmings :]

Christmas LOTD and China Glaze NOTD

My mom got me some NARS eyeshadow for my stocking when she went to Sephora. I feel so sophisticated and fancy now! All my designer stuff has been given to me, I'm too money-concious to buy it myself. Right now my best friend is in NYC, and she is going to get me my Christmas gift from Sephora. :P I wanted to try out my new Sassy stuff, so here's a EOTD. What I used: NARS eyeshadow in Silent Night (lid) Risk Taker, by Sassy (lid eyeliner) Covergirl eyeliner in grown black (waterline) Glass House, by Sassy (under waterline) L'Oreal Voluminous mascara mark lip gloss in Lucky Luxe The All Natural Face blush in Terra Cotta Here are my nails with a China Glaze Khrome color, Hi-Tek. The picture is not the best, but I think it gets the color right. In the lighting right now, the shine almost seems pink, but that may just be the lights off of the Christmas tree. Tonight my family went out to dinner without me, because I didn't have time to go eat with them before I had to go to work. About 40 minutes after they left, my manager called me and said I didn't have to work tonight, but I should come anyway because there was a lot of food people brought in. I ate dinner at work. I really love my job so much. You wouldn't think of Arby's as so great, but I work with awesome people, who are so nice and generous. Because of them, I didn't eat dinner alone this Christmas Eve. :) Having a job I truly enjoy is one of the best gifts I could ask for. I have very bad anxiety problems, and driving to work without that feeling of panic, and having a generally calm shift is really helpful. My job means a lot to me. So does my boyfriend, who I've been dating for almost a year now, who loves me so much. We're going to college together so we don't have to be apart. He has a lot of shit he deals with and I'm so thankful he still has so much love in his heart for me. I love him so much. I just wanted to share that, and I hope everyone thinks of the non-material gifts as just as, if not more important, than the material ones. Merry Christmas. :)

A piece of me- December

Ugh, I feel bad for barely posting, but right now I've been feeling so uninspired. I want to try out new products but I just spent my whole paycheck on Christmas gifts, so I can't. Next paycheck, or right after Christmas, I'm going crazy at Sally's, getting tons of elf stuff from Target, ordering from tons of indie companies, trying some drugstore products, getting a truckload of nail polish, trying some Avon and Mark makeup, and maybe even ordering something MAC (it would be my first!). I want to start 2010 out beautiful. :) Oh, does anyone have any websites where they have brands like MAC, Urban Decay, NARS, etc., for discount prices? I really wish there was a Sephora here so I could see things before buying them. :/ Anyway, here's my piece of me for December. I like: working! I know that sounds weird, but I really do love my job at Arby's. It's so nice to go into work and have everyone happy to see you, and to smell all the good food and feel so warm. People keep bringing in cakes and other goodies, there's something new at least once a week. I love working in the winter. I don't like: school... I've missed too many days to be exempt from finals, and I already got into the college I want to go to, so I'm really not motivated to trouble myself over schoolwork, or even go to school every day. :P I want you to know: I'm very passionate about abolitionism. There are 27 million slaves today, and this issue is seldom mentioned by our government. People think slavery isn't around anymore. After winter break I'm trying to start a thing at school for collecting new undergarments for rescued sex slaves, and I want to start a campaign to raise awareness around my community. I've planned: to have a New Year's party! I want to say to someone special:i love you sam :)

Silver EOTD

Hi everyone, my hand healed enough that I can type today! I still have blisters and burn marks over my wrists and arms though... gross! I guess I just live life on the edge, working a dangerous job like mine. Arby's is crazy, man. You drop one piece of popcorn chicken into the fryer and BAM there goes the oil splashing and you lose your left hand usage for the night. This Thanksgiving I am grateful for my boyfriend, Sam, my friends, my family, my pets (a dog, cat, 2 degus, 2 chinchillas), Lady Gaga, Hello Kitty, and MAKEUP! I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving. I decided to do a silver EOTD on Tuesday using some of my new Meow Cosmetics samples. I was left feeling semi-disappointed, like I was when I swatched them. The color 'Broken Mirror' didn't stay on well, and I had to reapply it during the day. What I used: Sabertooth, by Meow (inner lid) Broken Mirror, by Meow (center of lid) Nile, by Meow (outer lid) Train to Nowhere, by The She Space (under eyes) Max Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme Mascara I've seen the pictures of the Holiday collections on the Meow website, and there are a lot of colors that look beautiful. But I don't think I'm going to order again, especially right now. I'm trying to only spend $20 ordering makeup until Christmas, because I have to get presents for everyone. I love the holidays. :)
